Brief History of

RAWAT'S IAS ACADEMY

The academy started with a modest beginning in 1996 in Delhi with the name of Career Educational Institute.
It shifted its branch to Dehradun in 2002 on experimental basis. Feeling the need for coaching and guidance in Uttarakhand, RIA completely shifted to Dehradun in 2006.

RAWATS IAS ACADEMY is under the aegis of Society for Mindscaping EDUCATION AND Developemnt registered under the Society registration act, 1860. It was established in 1996 in New delhi. It is only academy in india which runs eight schools/ centre of excellence under its banner. The various schools are:

School for Civil Services (IAS/PCS)
School for Indian Forest Service.
School for Combined Defence Services/ Combined Armed Police Forces (Assistant Commandant)
School for career counseling and guidance
School for personality development
School for faculty development (training the trainers)

We don’t run any short term/ crash courses because they crash the students to the ground never to take off again. Instead we run one year, two year and three year courses which give them the strong foundation to think critically, logically and analytically, which is of vital importance to civil services in the contemporary scenario.
The lessons of ethics and morality are taught and the students are exposed to the case studies related to them. This is included In paper 4, Mains (ethics, Integrity & Aptitude)
The syllabus is not taught in isolation, we teach in integrated method encompassing art, commerce, law, management and science which helps the students to think divergently.
Every Saturday, lectures, group discussions, extempore, presentations and brain storming sessions are carried out. This builds the effective communication skills, body language, and confidence building in the aspirants.
Students are taken out for mountaineering, trekking and camping so as to get close to nature and environment
We organize, time to time, national level debates and seminars in which, apart from our students, various distinguished and eminent personalities take part, give lectures and share their experiences and expertise.
Rawat’s IAS Academy has the largest library comprising more than 15000 books.
